Social Enterprise Project Consultant is tasked to do community organizing, facilitation conduct, promote social enterprise, etc. Specifically, the essential responsibilities are outlined below:
Essential Responsibilities
1. Community Organizing
- Organize Women’s groups from Informal Waste Sector in partnership with the local government unit
- Facilitate the conduct of various training to the organized group
- Travel as necessary to assist the organized group in program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Coordinate with local government units to build partnerships and integration of the project to their program on Solid Waste Management.
- Establish partnerships with other possible partners for the entire project.
- Maintain Program Management and Opportunity Tracker
- Represent department meetings (internal/external) as needed.
- Closely coordinate with other staff from the field and head office as necessary.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
2. Social Enterprise
- Instill and promote social enterprise mindset and culture in the organized group.
- Identify, discover and develop the potential of the group members in social enterprise.
- Conducts mentoring and capacity building/training to the organized group or project beneficiaries on recycling and upcycling technologies and processes.
- Facilitate the conduct of specialized research for business development and planning.
- Review and update a social enterprise strategy.
- Analyze financial projection for the revenue-generating program.
- Develop the operational structure of the group to support the launch of the social enterprise.
- Ensure the full and timely implementation of the social enterprise
- Conduct promotional activities.
- Create a local network/directory of NGOs and social enterprise businesses and their leaders for networking and marketing.
- Provide appropriate reports.
- Oversee the overall construction and establishment of the upcycling facility.
3. Required Skills and Experience
- Graduate of Community Development, Business Administration and Social Science courses, with Social Enterprise or Sales/Marketing knowledge/background
- Have at least three years of practical experience working in the community with a demonstrated community development approach to working with the marginalized sector, especially women
- Experienced in managing social enterprise projects
- Good networking skills and experience with the LGUs, NGAs, SE, and other NGOs.
- Adept in project cycle management
- Excellent in verbal and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate (Excel, in particular) and thorough internet knowledge
- Ability to work independently and with the team
