Project Staff/Facilitator will focus to facilitate community planning, conduct community meetings, conceptualize project plans/proposals, handle and organize children and youth groups, among others.
Essential Responsibilies
- Facilitate community planning and identification of resources in coordination with LGUs, NGOs, community-based organizations, and other partners mandated bodies related to the assigned sector.
- Conduct community meetings with the community leaders, sponsored families, other community members, and other groups to determine the needs of children, families, and weaknesses of the community.
- Conceptualize and prepare draft project plan/proposal including Memorandum of Agreement.
- Handles and organize children and youth group and advocacy related activities within the schools and communities.
- A gathering of baseline data/keeping of important data related to the Education, Child Protection, and Advocacy sector.
- Facilitate timely implementation of activities based on plans.
- Establish, coordinate and maintain good partnerships with key stakeholders/partners under the Education, Child Protection, and Advocacy sector within the Field Areas.
- Prepare and submit status/monitoring reports and report updates on the project implementation.
Qualifications
- At least with Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Social Work, Education and other related courses;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with NGO’s or INGO’s or GO in community development/organizing and education sector;
- Familiar with education issues and education system in the Philippines e.g. K to 12, ALS, TESDA and so forth;
- Demonstrated good facilitation and community organizing skills, presentation, and communication;
- Basic computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PPT;
- Good language and writing skills;
- Ability to think critically and work independently; and
- Sensitive and adaptive towards culture, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age.
