Good Neighbors International Philippines (GNIP) is an international and development organization
working across the country. It has a partnership with UNFPA in implementing an Anticipatory Action
(AA) Project focused on Gender-based Violence (GBV) and Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) in 5
municipalities of CARAGA region.
Essential Responsibilities
- Establish partnerships with the provincial and municipal government units through the DRRM, Health and MSWD offices.
- Develop a data base of GBV and SRH beneficiaries.
- Identify accessible Financial Service Provider (FSP)
- Execute the AA Implementation Work Plan like cash transfer, reproductive/dignity kits distribution, mobilization of Emergency Maternity facility tents and woman-friendly space during disasters, etc.
- Deployment to AA project sites 4-7 days before the landfall of forecasted disaster.
- Organize meetings and trainings.
- Submit regular reports to the GNIP management and partners.
- Manage the project funds and other resources.
Qualifications
The potential post holder will require the following competencies, experience, skills and knowledge:
- At least 5 years of experience in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM).
- Experienced in managing gender in Humanitarian Action or gender-based projects.
- Have a good communication skill.
- Experienced in establishing partnerships with local government units, NGOs and other stakeholders.
- Preferably a resident of CARAGA Region and its nearby provinces or willing to be relocated in the project area.
- Proficient in developing presentations and have in depth computer knowledge.
- Amenable for an initial 1-month project engagement
