The Microfinance Assistant is responsible in providing assistance and support to the Microfinance programs of GN SDMI.
Qualifications:
General MFI Functions
- Assist and support in the information needed and appropriate reports in MFI.
- Conduct Group Recognition Test (GRT) or meetings in identifying savings groups/IGGs and Cooperatives who will avail loan support.
- Consolidate, review, and monitoring of loan information details and documents of Savings Groups/Income Generating Groups/Cooperatives submitted by Field Staff for reporting.
- Support in analyzing overall loan applicant’s application to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Monitor Cooperative development and microfinance activities on regular basis to ensure that the activities are conducted.
- Coordinates with Finance with regards to collection receipts and other document needed for the submission of report by Field Staff and other concerns.
- Follow up submission and updates of field IG staff in connection with the reports need to submit monthly Web Program updates, Payment Collection, IG MOR and Filing of Collection Receivable and Loan Receivable in finance.
- Checking and approval of IG MOR submitted by Field CDPs monthly.
- Overall assistance to field IG staff issues, concern and updates.
- Lead the project cycle management, if there are assigned special project/s to the staff.
MFI Loans
- Processing of loan request, purchasing and processing of FR of Cooperatives loans.
- Processing and checking of documents / requirements of Loanees.
- Follow up collection on payment for SGs/IGG/Cooperative on or before the due date.
- Checking of status or update of each Loanees/Group with regards to their business status as a group, budget consumption and group activities.
- Compiling and processing of contract such as Deed of Donation and other contracts for Cooperatives/groups.
- Filing of hard copies of requirements contract of SGs/IGG and Coop.
Web Program System
- Focal person in assisting Web program encoding, monitoring and staff orientation in using the system.
- Monitoring of payment collection and member details update encoded by Field IG Staff.
- Report status of web program to GIF during weekly meeting.
Partnership and Networking
- Coordinates with speakers and other partner’s agency in terms of MFI activities and
projects and trainings. - Participate and assist in identifying and implementing trainings needed in relation to IG and MFI.
- Conduct CDP visits to check the status of savings group activation.
Qualifications:
- Experience in technical skills desirable for microfinance NGO, business, microfinance operations, and operational management
- Has at least 3-5 years of experience working in a Microfinance or relevant fields
- Graduate of Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or related courses.
- Preferably with experience of Credit/Investment evaluation at Bank, MFI, or Social Investment Company
- Has experience working in an INGO or non-government organization.
- Has good communication skills both in writing and speaking in English and Filipino
- Strong passion for serving the impoverished communities.
