Amalia Torcuator, a Community Volunteer and a Barangay Nutrition Scholar in Gigmoto CDP, is now fully vaccinated by COVID-19 Vaccine. At first, she also had a fear of getting vaccinated because of the previous issues on anti-dengue, which has claimed children’s lives.
Through her participation in the vaccine orientation, she was convinced to be vaccinated. It was explained to them clearly and thoroughly the positive effects of the COVID-19 vaccines on themselves and others.
“Ang kapakanan at kaligtasan din ng mga bata ang makikinabang kapag nabakunahan ako.”
(“The welfare and safety of the children will also benefit when I am vaccinated.”)
Some people have been hesitant and fearful of the COVID-19 vaccines, especially on the side effects of these newly developed vaccines. But, with the right information and education dissemination to the people, eventually, everyone will be willing to get their vaccines and have a better normal.
