Rodriguez, Rizal — May 7, 2025
In response to the urgent needs of families affected by a recent landfill fire, Good Neighbors Philippines conducted a successful community pantry initiative on May 7, 2025, at the Ynares Multi-Purpose Covered Court in San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal.
A total of 379 sponsored families from the sitios of Upper Pintor, Lower Pintor, Harangan, Saguingan 2, Maislap, Bambanin, and Lukutang Maliit received essential food and hygiene items including rice, canned goods, vegetables, coffee, face masks, and more.
This emergency response was made possible through the collective efforts of 8 Community Development Project staff in Rizal, 7 community volunteers, 2 student interns, and 2 Head Office personnel. The assigned staff managed to ensure a smooth and efficient distribution through a ticket-based system and site-grouped queuing.
The pantry opened at 1:00 PM and concluded by 3:00 PM, meeting the needs of every family with organized procedures, clear communication, and compassion at its core.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone whose kindness and generosity made this response possible. Your support means more than just relief—it brings comfort, hope, and a sense of harmony to children and families facing crisis.
