Income generation (IG) is a strong link to other economic sectors that can provide the basic needs of the community, raise their productivity, alleviate poverty, and create more economic opportunities. Good Neighbors International Philippines (GNIP) continues to produce more ways to provide more economic participation in the communities that can eventually help the families’ way and standard of living.
Sponsored families in Limot and Hinagtungan, which are strategic areas of Aguinaldo Community Development Project operations, were the beneficiaries of the activity on the organization’s IG programs on January 26, 2018.
The activity benefited 86 participants in which they were provided with Information, Education, and Communication materials for the IG sector of GNIP. They were also oriented with the sponsorship-based IG opportunities to have clear and common understanding with the existing guidelines such as revolving fund and saving’s group system.
The participants showed eagerness in learning and were motivated to apply what they have learned in their lives. GNIP is hopeful that this is the beginning of the productive economic participation of the families in their respective communities.
Good Neighbors International Philippines built a water tank and water reservoir that will provide water to each household and public school through the Securing Access to Flourish Empowerment for Water or SAFE for Water Project.
