Good Neighbors International Philippines is one of the field countries of Good Neighbors International that has been established in 2008 with the goals of improving the lives of Filipinos, especially the children through child sponsorship and community development programs.
Good Neighbors International Philippines started its operations in February of 2009 with Barangay San Isidro in Rodriguez, Rizal as its pilot Community Development Project area.
Through the years, the organization expanded its geographical reach by establishing 11 CDPs and 7 field offices across the county serving more than 13,000 marginalized children.
Good Neighbors Philippines or GN PHL is the daughter organization and local resource mobilization arm of Good Neighbors International Philippines.
To broaden and localize its services, GN PHL was established to start the initiative of introducing local sponsorship. This strategy sprung from the principle that Philippine society also has the capacity to help fellow Filipinos with a focus on marginalized children and vulnerable communities. In this effort, the Philippine social landscape was eyed as a prime source of support for more sustainable sponsorship initiatives.
We create and implement programs on education, scholarship, and youth development and providing comprehensive child protection programs for children who are most vulnerable to violence, exploitation, and abuse. GNIP is working on improving the well-being of every individual in the communities to reach their full potential.
We empower community people through building economic capacity and stability of the families’ economic condition through needs-based income-generating projects. We also implement strong disaster risk reduction programs in the community and emergency relief activities where urgent help is necessary due to disasters or conflict.
We provide a system for local and international sponsors to support children in Good Neighbors supported areas. Children are not just given materials and resources through item distributions, but they are also given access to more opportunities for quality education, good nutrition, safe water and sanitation, proper hygiene, and quality health care.
Good Neighbors is making the world a better place across the world through the implementation of projects that promote and protect the rights of children. Good Neighbors strengthens its global partnership and advocates the rights of the most vulnerable sectors of society. Good Neighbors will always bring good change and long-term positive impact to our neighbors.
