28 April 2023 – Good Neighbors International Philippines (GNIP) and Waves for Water (W4W) Philippines inked a partnership project through a Memorandum of Agreement Signing to provide access to clean and safe water in Laak, Davao de Oro held on the 28th of April in GNIP Head Office in Cubao, Quezon City.
The MOA was signed by GNIP Country Country Director, Mr. Jae Choon Lee, and W4W Country Director, Ms. Jenica Beatriz V. Dizon together with Ms. Visitacion Apostol, GNIP Senior Economic Manager and Ms. Samantha Isabel Conrado, W4W Operations Director.
The project dubbed “W4W 10th Anniversary x GNIP Community Outreach Project” will support the community in Sitio Limot, Barangay Aguinaldo, Laak Davao de Oro by providing water filtration systems that can be used by the communities.
The water filtration system is the fastest, easiest, and most cost-efficient way to get potable water to communities. It is able to filter existing freshwater sources such as rainwater, rivers, spring, and deep wells.
This project is close to the heart of GNIP as it implements a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene program aimed to provide sustainable and equitable access to safe water and hygiene facilities. To fit the needs of each community, WaSH programs are developed and implemented, including WaSH campaigns, safe water development projects, and the construction of hygiene and latrine facilities.
Thus, the advocacy of Waves for Water Philippines in providing clean water to every person who needs it is a great opportunity to help more people to have access to water in Laak, Davao de Oro.
This partnership project will surely have a great impact on the lives of the families, especially on the health and well-being of the children.
