25 May 2022 – Good Neighbors International Philippines (GNIP) partners with Rappler for brand awareness of the organization’s programs and information dissemination of the produced advocacy materials for Inclusive Child-Centered Disaster Risk Reduction or ICDRR Project, a special grant project with UNICEF.
The ICDRR Project is pivoted to address the needs of vulnerable children, including children with disabilities and indigenous children, and capacitate them on disaster prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response, and rehabilitation and recovery.
Through this partnership with Rappler, GNIP and UNICEF will introduce and launch a number of advocacy materials that will help in our national advocacy towards the inclusiveness of children with disabilities and indigenous people on DRRM.
A series of ICDRR advocacy materials through videos and infographics will be shared through Rappler’s social media accounts and website starting this month of May.
This partnership aims to reach a wider audience on the importance of the participation of the children with disabilities and indigenous children in the DRRM planning and decision-making process.
In line with the DRRM program, GNIP’s continuous efforts for the emergency response and rehabilitation of the survivors of Typhoon Odette will also be featured and amplified on Rappler’s social media platforms.
Moreover, GNIP will also appear in their daily and weekly news round-up show, The wRap to increase brand awareness of the organization.
