16 May 2023 – Good Neighbors International Philippines (GNIP) and Davao de Oro State College (DdOSC) through Extension Service Division (ESD) sealed a partnership to further elevate programs and services for the communities in Laak, Davao de Oro.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between GNIP and DdOSC forge a collaborative partnership in the extension of the research program focus on poverty alleviation, access to education, and building climate-resilient communities in Laak, Davao de Oro, specifically to Aguinaldo and Kilagding-Longganapan Community Development Project.
“Together, we will work towards building a more sustainable, secure, and prosperous future for all. So this MOU Signing signifies not just a collaboration but a shared commitment to make a tangible lasting difference. It marks the beginning of an incredible journey that holds that potential to transform lives, uplift communities and create a more equitable world,” Dr. Christie Jean V. Ganiera, CESE said during the ceremonial signing.
The Country Director of GNIP expressed his appreciation and value on the role of DdOSC in this collaboration.
“I think we can make a good partnership and we can support the community well. And the reason why we want to make a partnership and especially for the community support. If we collaborate together and then if we use good quality of breeds and they can have more bananas and cacaos they can have income. And eventually, if they are famous, if Laak is famous globally in the market it will be great and then this blessing will continue for the descendant, their children, and eventually they can achieve their dream,” GNIP Country Director Mr. Jae Choon Lee expressed.
This partnership will truly make a valuable contribution and impact for the betterment of the communities.
