Donation Refund Policy

Donations are acts of goodwill to support the Good Neighbors Philippines (GN PHL) programs for the sponsored children and vulnerable communities it serves. Donation initiatives and strategies of GNPHL are diversified in the form of face to face fundraising, company or organization sponsorship, partnership through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), among others. Donations are usually non-refundable. However, in occasions where errors in fund transfer or sudden change of mind in donating due to valid reasons, refund of donation/s will be acknowledged following the GNPHL and the service provider guidelines and procedures.

  1. The donor will send a written notice to GNPHL on the intent to refund the donation. The written notice should include the purposes or reasons for refunding the donation.

  2. The fundraising team will discuss the refund intention of the donor. The discussion should be held within 3 days upon receipt of the notice from the donor.

  3. . The leaders of the fundraising team will communicate with the donor to convince the donor to reconsider the decision and continue supporting the children. If the donor has really decided to do the refund, repercussions of refunding and discontinuing the support to the sponsored children will be discussed.

  4. In the case of erroneous fund transfer, the concerned individual, group or company will send a letter to GNPHL of the erroneous transaction. The details of the transaction should be indicated in the letter such as date of fund transfer, amount, bank or online transaction details and others. The transaction will be verified by the finance and fundraising team which will be the basis in confirming the erroneous transaction.

  5. Any charges or financial expense related to the refund is charged against the donor or the person who committed the erroneous transaction.

  6. The processing of the refund will be done within 15 days excluding the processing period of the service provider like the bank or the authorized service provider.

Unauthorized card use

Fraudulent use of your card is strictly not honored in any transactions of GNPHL. Cards that are lost, stolen or any other forms of illegally acquiring and using it is automatically considered void transaction. Any charges or related expenses for such will be debited against the person, group or company who made the transaction. The period for refunding the money will depend on the allowed processing time/period of the bank or the authorized service provider.

Automated Recurring Donation Cancellation

Ongoing support is important to enabling projects to continue their work, so we encourage donors to continue to contribute to projects over time. But if you must cancel your recurring donation, please notify us immediately
